Please feel free to share with your friends and any faith-based organizations.  Our goal is collect 200 bags of shoes.  The homeroom middle school class with the most bags filled will receive a special celebration.  The high school class (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) with the most shoes will receive their special celebration.  Each bag must be filled with 25 wearable shoes.

High School students who wish to become Shoe Collectors and Loaders should contact Khem Irby at khemirby@gmail.com to coordinate.  This project is service-learning eligible.

Dear Parents and Friends of Penn-Griffin

Our goal for this year is to raise $100,000.  As you know we are unique in that we are two schools in one and the needs are unique as well.  Our middle school is being introduced to the arts while our high school is a full performing arts program.  Our middle school is preparing students for high school and our high school is preparing students for college and beyond.

Of course, we cannot do it without you.  We are looking for all our families to be fully engaged in the initiatives that are taking place.  As a performing arts school we want a state of the art experience for all students.  Therefore, the following initiatives need your support:

Teacher/Student Supply Closet – no more out-of-pocket spending by underpaid teachers Student awards celebrations
Performing/Visual arts (theatre, chorus, piano, guitar, dance, band, orchestra, harp)
All middle school sports programs (basketball, baseball, football, softball, cheerleading) every program deserves a boost!
After-school tutoring (teacher/student snacks or meals)
Teacher/Staff appreciations
Performance fees
Student clubs/student government/student activities – we have over 35 clubs
Parent Engagement – new parent handbook, parent resources and workshops
Keep Penn-Griffin Beautiful – courtyard and overall campus (2017-18)
Teacher grants – help support teacher innovation
Greenhouse  revitalization/Out-of-the-Garden (2017-18)

Welcome Principal Howard Stimpson

Mr. Howard Stimpson is our new principal.  He has served as principal at the Kearns Academy at Central since 2014.  We are looking forward to a wonderful school year with the experience and wealth of knowledge he will be bringing to our school.

Take the time to stop by and welcome him to the Penn-Griffin family.  We do not know his favorite things, so be on the look or keep a close ear to hear what they may be.

I sure hope that it is chocolate.

WELCOME MR. STIPMSON!
